Talia Tourism & Yunnan Cultural Tourism Strategic Cooperation for Cross-Border Travel
At 10:00 on 6 August 2025, a significant cultural and tourism exchange event opened at the China–Saudi Arabia Culture and Art Association.

and the delegation from the Honghe Prefecture Investment Promotion Bureau —
the Yunnan delegation joined representatives of Talia Tourism and the China–Saudi Arabia Culture and Art Association for an in-depth discussion on cultural exchange and complementary tourism resources between Yunnan and Saudi Arabia, and successfully signed a strategic cooperation agreement, injecting fresh momentum into China–Saudi cross-border tourism cooperation.
Government and Business Join Hands to Showcase Cultural Tourism Resources
The symposium was moderated by Yao Yali, Operations Manager of Talia Tourism, and attracted a distinguished lineup of participants. Representatives of the Yunnan delegation included Wang Xun, Director of the Yunnan Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, and Liu Yuhui, Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Division, together with Yang Min, Chairman of Yunnan Kanglv Holding Group. On the Saudi side, attendees included Sun Lili, Head of the Reservations Department at Talia Tourism, and Wan Anfeng, Advisor to the China–Saudi Arabia Culture and Art Association.

During the exchange session, the Yunnan delegation showcased the distinctive resources of “Colourful Yunnan”: from the grandeur of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the charm of Lijiang Old Town, from the mystique of Shangri-La to the vastness of Dianchi Lake, the natural landscapes were a feast for the eyes. The cultures of 25 indigenous ethnic minorities, including the Dai Water-Splashing Festival and the Yi Torch Festival, were presented alongside a diverse range of products such as hot-spring wellness, ecological farm produce and border-region experiences, fully displaying the province’s tourism appeal. The Saudi side focused on its religious culture, desert adventures and other signature resources, and the two sides held in-depth discussions on itinerary design, service optimisation and market development, highlighting the complementarity of their resources.
Strategic Agreement Lays the Foundation as Cooperation Moves to a New Stage
The highlight of the symposium came when Yunnan Kanglv Group and Talia Tourism formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Representatives of both parties put pen to paper witnessed by all attendees, marking the transition of cooperation between the two destinations’ tourism enterprises from intent to substance. Under the agreement, the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in joint development of tourism itineraries, two-way market promotion, establishment of mutual tourist referral mechanisms and organisation of cultural exchange events, jointly creating distinctive cross-border tourism products.

After the signing ceremony, all participants gathered for a group photo, capturing this important moment in China–Saudi cultural tourism cooperation. The successful symposium and the signing of the strategic agreement have built a bridge for regular cooperation between Yunnan and Saudi Arabia. As the cooperation is implemented step by step, the tourism resources of the two destinations will be integrated and utilised more efficiently, offering richer travel options for Chinese and Saudi travellers alike and injecting fresh vitality into the friendly relations between the two countries through culture and tourism.
In the future, cultural and tourism exchanges between Yunnan and Saudi Arabia will continue to warm up, writing a brand-new chapter of cross-border tourism cooperation together.
