Talia Tourism at Saudi Embassy in China’s 95th National Day Reception
On 23 September 2025, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in China held a grand reception in Beijing to celebrate the 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As an outstanding representative of the Saudi tourism industry, Talia Tourism was honoured to receive a special invitation from the Saudi Embassy in China and attended this landmark diplomatic occasion.
The reception was packed with distinguished guests from China and abroad. Liu Bin, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, attended and delivered a speech, extending warm congratulations on the Saudi National Day. Liu Bin remarked that Saudi Arabia is an important member of the Arab and Islamic worlds and a key comprehensive strategic partner of China. Over the 35 years since diplomatic relations were established, the two countries have always stayed true to their original aspirations, with bilateral relations developing in a comprehensive, rapid and in-depth manner. In particular, under the strategic guidance of the two countries’ leaders, China–Saudi relations have continued to deepen, writing a new chapter of solidarity, cooperation and mutually beneficial win-win development among developing countries.
China–Saudi relations enter a “golden era” as tourism cooperation welcomes new opportunities
2025 marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of China–Saudi diplomatic relations and the first China–Saudi Year of Culture, with cooperation and exchange in culture, tourism and other fields growing ever closer. In recent years, China–Saudi trade has surpassed USD 100 billion, and tourism cooperation has become a highlight of bilateral relations: in 2024 Saudi Arabia received 212,000 Chinese visitors, a year-on-year increase of 52%. With Saudi Arabia officially becoming an “approved destination for Chinese tourist groups”, tourism cooperation between the two sides has reached a new level. The Saudi Arabian Tourism Authority has further set a strategic goal of attracting 5 million Chinese visitors by 2030.
